Violence Prevention
WEB 2.0 ONLINE-TRAINING FOR VIOLENCE PREVENTION
The online-training can be used in social hotspots to reduce the tension between opposing groups ("reduction of the outgroup-effect").
How does the software work?
Students learn during the online-training to get to know the members of the other group on a very personal level. The core of the training is founded on videos and photos of emotional facial expressions of the opposing group. Hereby the student sees not only strong but also weak emotions (like sadness), observes positive and negative emotions and is presented with human weakness such as boredom or tiredness. Due to the rivality of the groups' relationsships, the groups only know the strong and dominant emotions/sides of the other group members. For that reason they overlook the human/weak part of the members of the other group and thus fear them more. Furthermore, the fact that this training is online gives each individual the social privacy and quietness necessary to complete the training. No social peer pressure is applied here.
Inplementation into Twitter, Facebook & Co.
Global Emotion offers an implementation into Twitter, Facebook, Xing, LinkedIn, Wikis and Blos allowing participants to share experiences during the training. Furthermore we offer discussion rooms in our learning centre to give each group the privacy it needs.
Origin of the photos and videos - Be a star!
A Global Emotion Team will visit you at your facility and open a mobile photo and video studio for a number of days. The students/youths/participants will then become the "stars" of the training, as in small groups our photographer makes videos and takes photos of their emotional facial expressions. This is always a big happening.
At the end you will not only have perfectly tailored online training course but also a trust-building measure for your opposing groups.
